1. Buying a Computer. Pretend that you are getting ready to purchase a new computer. Visit at least three web sites of on-line retailers that sell computers. Use the rational decision-making process to decide which computer would meet your needs, using both a qualitative and quantitative analysis. List the web sites in the written summary of your project.

2. Decision-Making Do’s and Don’ts. Go to www.bizmove.com/business_tips/Smalltips11.htm. You’ll find a list of “do’s” and “don’ts” of decision-making according to the Small Business Knowledge Base. Which of these have you experienced? Give some specific examples.

3. Graduate School. Assume that you are planning to go to graduate business school to get your Master of Business Administration (MBA). Visit the web site of the Canadian Business magazine (or use your library’s on-line data periodical index) and search for information on the top business schools. Using this web site, make a decision on which graduate school would be the best one for you to attend if you should choose to continue your education. Use the strategic decision-making process.

4. The Inside Scoop. Go to your library’s web site. Using the available business periodical indexes, search for information on electronic brainstorming. Are there any new developments regarding this technique? Find out what companies are using this technique. What do these companies like about electronic brainstorming?

5. Career Decisions. Use at least three different web sites to obtain information at on least three different careers that you are considering. Put together a comprehensive analysis of these three careers. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each career? How would you know which one is for you?
